Recommended trips

We have compiled for you a collection of great trips in the Galilee, here you will find trips in Different difficulties,

in nature or in the city, with or without water, for winter or summer. 

So prepare a bag and go, Nature is waiting for you.

For all routes, we recommend that you equip yourself accordingly with clothing, shoes, water and a hat and please keep it clean

Yonatan trail -  Mikhmanim encircal

A hiking route starting from the Khan, where you can see spectacular views of the Lower and Upper Galilee and the Haifa Bay.

- Difficulty: medium                                                   - Route length: 3km

- Duration: 1-1.5 houres                                              - Water: none 

- You can hike with animals

- Suitable for families and elder people

- The track is not accessible, a baby carrier is neede

Kamom Creek

A hiking route that starts from the Khan and reaches Kamon creek, on the way you can see views of the Lower Galilee and the Sea of Galilee. For those looking for challenges, you can continue with the stream all the way down the mountain and even to the Sea of Galilee. 

- Difficulty: medium-hard                             - Route length: 3km

- Duration: 3-4 hours                                      - Water: none 

- You can hike with pets                                - Suitable for families and elder people

- The track is not accessible, a baby carrier is neede

Kamon Spring

The Kamon Spring is a calm and quiet route on the top of Mount Kamon. On a nice day you can even meet shepherds who come to water thier goats. Perfect place for a picnic in nature

-Difficulty: Medium                                         - Length: 1 km each way

- Duration of the trip: 1-2 hours                  - Water: not for bathing

- You can travel with pets                             - Suitable for families and seniors

- The route is not accessible, a baby carrier is needed

Landscape Panorama - Kamon

The view point is in the village of Kamon where you can see the entire Sakhnin valley up to the slopes of the Sea of Galilee. A large group can gather at the observation deck and you can see for a long distance, so the place has an impressive view of the Lower Galilee

Zalmon Stream

Nahal Zalmon is located down Mount Kamon towards Sakhnin valley, near the stream there are ancient flour mills.

- Difficulty: medium                                                                  - Route length: 4km

- Duration: 3-4 hours                                                                  - Water: none 

- Suitable for families and elder people

- The track is not accessible; a baby carrier is needed kids age 6+

- Water: the stream Flows all year, and swimming is recommended

Amud Stream 

A lovely stream in the Upper Galilee at the foot of Mount Miron 

- Difficulty: medium                                                                  - Route length: 2km

- Duration: 3-4 hours                                                                  - Water: none 

- Suitable for families and elder people

- The track is not accessible, the baby carrier is needed kids age 6+

- Water: the stream flows all year, and swimming is recommended

Parod Creek

The creek is near Kibbutz Shefer and at the bottom of the creek is a lovely picnic area

- Difficulty: easy                                                          - Route length: 2km

- Duration: 30-40 minutes                                        - You can bring pets

- Suitable for families and elder people

- Water: the creek runs during the rain season 

- The creek is not accessible, but there is an accessible area at the bottom

Tzippori

Tzippori used to be the capital of the Galilee, where the Sanhedrin sat and where the Mishna was signed. A mixed population lived in Tispiori, and there are remains of dozens of beautiful mosaics from the Roman and Byzantine periods, and they are what made it an international city of mosaics.

- Difficulty: easy                                                                              - Route length: 1km

- Suitable for families and elder people                                   - Duration: 1.5 hours      - You can bring pets

- The site is accessible exept for the Ancient Reservoir

- Entrance with charge and according to opening hours of National Parks and Nature Reserves

The Montfort

At the top of the mountain there is an ancient fortress and impressive in its beauty and at the bottom of the mountain is Nahal Kziv

- Difficulty: easy                                                                    - Route length: 2km

- Duration: 1.5 hours                                                              - You can bring pets

- Suitable for families and elder people                      

- Water: the creek runs during the rain season 

- The track is not accessible, a baby carrier is needed

Shavei Tzion beach

shaevi Tzion beach is one of the most beautiful secluded beaches in Israel. The small and quiet beach is within the settlement of Shaevi Tzion, it is fenced, and has a pier and a breakwater, and in its northern part is a natural and charming sea pool that is very suitable for children

- Opening hours: 08:00-17:00                                       - Accessible beach

- The entrance is free of charge

- Fishing activity is prohibited and animals are not allowed

- A quiet and  beach, with shade sheds, toilets, showers and lifeguard                         services (during the bathing season)

Amnoon Beach - Sea of Galilee

At Amnon Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Sea of Galilee, you will find a declared bathing beach where a camping complex is located on the water's edge in one of the attractive spots of the Sea of Galilee

- Opening hours: 09:00-17:00 August until 19:00

- Animals cannot be brought into the beach area

- Entrance to the beach is free but parking is with charge

- Quiet beach, with shade, toilets, showers and lifegurds (during the season)

- The accessible beach includes an access path to the water line, accessible                toilets/showers and accessible picnic areas
